Nations is a social game developed and published by Outsider Entertainment.
Gameplay[]
Nations is a social game, meaning it is made to be played with friends or random people. It is based upon a model United Nations meeting. Players are asked to choose a country to represent. Picking a small, poorer country will result in many opportunities to upgrade and benefit it, resulting in a higher score and rank for the player. Picking a larger, wealthier country will be easier, but will barely reward the player. After choosing a country to represent, you will be given the choice between creating/joining a customized United Nation (recommended for playing with friends), or joining a completely random UN, consisting of up to 35 people near your rank. Only one person can represent a country per UN.
The main goal is to do whatever it takes to help your nation. Upon starting the game, you are given the option to edit your representative (avatar). You can give it a name and gender, as well as change it's hair, skin tone, and facial hair. You can trade resources with other countries, help out in times of need, and, as a last resort, declare war. Occasionally, a randomly generated natural disaster can occur, harming a population or supply of resources. Some disasters are more common in certain regions. A list of these disasters includes:
- Tsunamis
- Epidemic
- Earthquake
- Tornado/Cyclone
- Hurricane
- Wildfire
- Superavalanche
- Blizzard
- Heatwave
- Drought/Famine
- Volcanic Eruption
War[]
If a member of the UN declares war on another, you can choose to join a side or reamin neutral. Remaining neutral will have no effect on you, but if most othe members are involved in the war, you will have limited ability to interact with them. Joining a side will allow you to support them, send troops, send weapons, and more. If you are the one who declares war, you will be given a larger responsibility as representative. You
